Roller Rebuilding help arrives

Debuting at the GIS in Orlando was help for equipment techs in rebuilding cutting unit rollers. The usual method of holding a roller is clamping it in a vise; the problem here is the smaller ones with thin metal can get crushed; leading to out of round situations. Roland McPherson, an equipment tech, developed and fabricated a jig or "brackets" to hold various sizes and shapes of rollers without damage while replacing the bearings and seals.

Kohler In-Production on Command PRO EFI Engines

Closed-loop EFI is standard on new models, ensuring fuel efficiency and reliability

KOHLER, Wis. – February 2010 – Kohler Co. has announced plans to have 12 new Command PRO® EFI Engines — ranging from 19 to 29 horsepower — available in the first half of 2010.

 Beginning with its Command PRO 29-horsepower (747 cc), twin-cylinder, horizontal- and vertical-shaft, air-cooled gasoline engines, Kohler will convert its entire Command Pro line – 22 models ranging from 19 – 41 horsepower (694-999cc) to closed-loop EFI.

New and Longer lasting Greenscare™ Plus Bio Oil launched at GIS
