Toro Shipping New Greensmaster® eFlex™ Walk Greensmower

BLOOMINGTON, Minn. (June 7, 2012) – The highly anticipated new Toro Greensmaster® eFlex™ walk greensmower is now shipping to customers across the U.S. Announced at the 2011 Golf Industry Show, the eFlex mower is the industry’s first lithium-ion-powered, all-electric model of its kind.
The Greensmaster eFlex is the first battery-powered walk greensmower solution to achieve the range customers demand, significantly more efficient than its battery-powered predecessors. The lithium ion battery provides enough power to consistently mow up to nine average greens* on a single charge — a breakthrough in the category.
Because the eFlex is battery-powered, there’s no fuel or oil to change. That means no leaks, no emissions, and virtually no maintenance for courses to worry about — especially during busy tournament events. The mower is also extremely quiet, allowing greens crews to get out on the course earlier and double-cut before players are on the course. It’s so quiet, operators can monitor the sound of the reel to ensure optimal performance.
Another advantage is the eFlex mower’s exclusive EZ-Turn™ feature, which allows operators to gain more control of the machine in turn-arounds without sacrificing productivity. This feature automatically slows the mower down at the end of a pass and speeds it up again on the return pass, resulting in less turf damage and a better overall cut.
Other design features further enhance the eFlex mower’s superior quality of cut. Patented Dual Precision Adjustment (DPA) cutting units are precision manufactured for perfect alignment to provide the highest quality of cut and minimal maintenance. Plus, proven Flex™suspension follows ground undulations and prevents side-to-side scrubbing of the putting surface.
The efficient eFlex mower also reinforces a course’s commitment to environmental responsibility. Every eFlex model carries the Toro EnergySmart™ label, a visible sign of Toro’s commitment to innovation that balances both environmental sustainability and economic value.
