Toro Shows Off Lightweight Fairway Mower

Toro dusted off plans that had been on the shelf for the past decade; deciding to enter the "niche" market that is currently occupied by only the Jacobsen SLF 1880. The preview of the prototype was in Vegas at the GIS. The mower, based on the Groundsmaster 3500(Sidewinder) platform, will have 5 18" reels.

The reels will have all the options that are currently offered for the reels in the 5010 Series Cutting heads(roller brushes, scrapers, groomers etc.).

Badge designation, as well as engine type & tire tread design have not yet been finalized. Testing will be ongoing this year. The Mower was spotted in the UK a few weeks after the Vegas GIS; mowing side by side with Jac's SLF 1880 for cut comparison.
