VIRTUAL JACOBSEN EXHIBIT AT IGCEMA’S TRADE SHOW

Charlotte, NC (May 7, 2010) Jacobsen, a Textron Inc. (NYSE: TXT) company, is participating in the International Golf Course Equipment Managers Association’s (IGCEMA) Virtual Trade Show, a three-day live event for suppliers, dealers and customers to gather for meaningful business development and relationship building.

Held in a specially designed Internet-enabled convention center, this new venture will provide a meeting place where suppliers and their customers can meet, learn and make buying decisions. All without leaving their office.

Jacobsen was one of the first major exhibitors to sign up for the event and will have a 3D booth on the Trade Show floor to distribute product information, conduct meetings and engage in sales discussions with email and chat tools.

Showcasing on the booth will be the latest in greens mower technology, the Eclipse 322 riding mower featuring two unique hybrid power systems; diesel-electric and gas-electric along with an all-electric battery powered version. Whichever one is selected, they all have one thing in common; they are completely hydraulic-free. No hydraulic oil means absolutely no leaks and because the final drive for traction and reels is electric, they are considerably quieter than other greens mowers.

Also on display will be Jacobsen’s complete range of mowers and utility vehicles, including Jacobsen products built by our Ransomes Jacobsen divison in the United Kingdom. The first time the complete range has been exhibited at a single event.

Deanna Griffith, Jacobsen’s Marketing Manager commented,

“We are please to support IGCEMA in this unique venture as it demonstrates that our industry is moving forward and using new technology to its fullest extent. Not just in the development of equipment, but also for interacting with customers.

“We appreciate that the cost of visiting and participating in trade shows can be prohibitive for both customers and suppliers. As a manufacturer we are acutely aware of this fact. However, IGCEMA’s initiative will enable customers and suppliers to come together in this virtual convention center in a cost-effective way, which should benefit all parties.”
