John Deere Golf Introduces 2011 Product Year Updates

Updates allow for improved performance and durability customers can rely on

John Deere announced model year improvements on a number of golf course products, including the greens mower, trim and surrounds mower and bunker rake product lines.

"The updates we've made to some of our marquee products are designed to meet the needs of superintendents and their crews," said Mike Koppen, group marketing manager, John Deere Golf. Many of these updates, in fact, come directly from the customer feedback we regularly employ to ensure our customers have what they need to handle the obstacles they face on a daily basis."

Greens Mower improvements
The popular 2500E E-Cutâ„¢ Hybrid Riding Greens Mowers have a new alternator that powers the electric drive cutting units. In comparison with previous models, the alternator has increased to 100 amps, improving the overall efficiency of the machine. The new alternator increases the amperage available for the reel circuit while maintaining the exceptional fuel efficiency the E-Cut Hybrids have become known for. And, with improved radiator fan cooling-to-speed ratios on all 2011 model riding greens mowers, the overall noise levels have decreased even more for both operators and bystanders.

These updates make the 2500B and E-Cut Hybrid mowers the best solution for customers who are looking for superior cut quality, reduced leak points, improved fuel usage and quieter sound levels.

Trim and Surrounds Mower improvements
The new tire options of smooth or ultra trac add even more versatility to the 7400 TerrainCutâ„¢ and the 7200 PrecisionCutâ„¢ Trim and Surrounds Mowers. Already standard on the 8000 E-Cut Fairway Mower, these tires are ideal for customers operating in flat areas and for those who want to minimize tire marking in newly seeded rye grasses or areas with heights of cut below a half inch or 13 millimeters.

Bunker Rake improvements
Both the 1200A and 1200 Hydro bunker rakes feature updated fuel systems that meet new CARB and EPA requirements for 2011. The 1200A also features a new engine that increases displacement from 286 cc to 351 cc, and provides 9.5 hp. In addition to meeting industry regulations and requirements, these updated models continue to offer excellent performance while maximizing machine uptime.
