Briggs and Stratton has released a new single-cylinder Vanguard line, from 5.5 to 10hp, that incorporates a new simultaneous fuel/ignition shutoff. Studies they conducted showed that as much as 5oz. of gas could be dumped into the oil sump during 30 minutes of transport time. The new system prevents this; no fouled plugs, hydraulic lock, cylinder wash down or crankcase oil dilution. The new line also includes a connecting rod and dipper tested and proven in their motorsports division.
